SPE is very important to us

Murrelektronik sees the trend that SPE has the potential to become the physical platform for state-of-the-art installation concepts with today's Ethernet-based fieldbus protocols such as PROFINET, Ethernet/IP (and the futures such as OPC UA TSN-FLC). The focus is on the clearly visible cost-benefit factor.
Murrelektronik believes that the two-wire connection via Single Pair Ethernet offers decisive advantages. "The electronic connection in machines and systems is becoming more economical and efficient. By embedding SPE technology in the relevant world of standards and the simultaneous transmission of power and data, this technology has the potential to become the backbone of the Industrial Internet of Things in the future," explains Jürgen Zeltwanger.
